From work events to travelling home for weddings, for the last few weeks I’ve had to lug a ton of stuff with me on a regular basis. I’ve gone from carrying just some lipgloss and concealer with me for light touch-ups to having to carry all of my makeup with me, which requires, of course, a lovely makeup bag. 

This bag is the perfect size to carry just what I need, and not take up a ton of room in my purse. Besides - it’s cute enough that I don’t mind it lying out either!

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Color in Pirate

I have lusted over Chanel nail polish from afar ever since I moved to New York. It started when I would see beauty editors at work events, and they would all be wearing the same color. When I would ask them what it was, the  answer was inevitably, “Oh, it’s the new Chanel… but you can’t get it for a couple of months.” Can you imagine anything more frustrating? 

Season after season, I still hadn’t actually pulled the trigger and purchased one for myself. $26 is a lot for nail polish! So I was thrilled when one of my colleagues gave me the best office holiday present ever - my very own Chanel nail polish in Pirate, a classic red. 

The color is gorgeous, but I began to realize that Chanel nail polishes must be made for women who don’t actually do anything with their hands. The mani required a little more upkeep and extra coats of topcoat than others, but it’s worth it for the color!
