Today I wished my ear lobes were cuter…
…true story. I’ve always had larger earlobes, which, in the grand scheme of things, isn’t an unforgivable trait, but it’s been one that always bothered me. And then I grew up, and lots of other things caught up really fast - my persistant under-eye circles (it’s not JUST lack of sleep, I swear!), unwanted hair, and thighs that touch just a smidge more than I would like. However, now my large earlobes are like long toes (of which I am also afflicted) - you never notice them until they prevent you from getting something awesome.
Which brings me to today - I had “a day” and decided that I needed to treat myself to something sparkly. I’ve always liked skulls in theory, but have yet to actually purchase something skully, so I gravitated towards these awesome mini-skull earrings from Dogeared. They were dainty, cute skulls, not goth and alternative. Alas… once I tried them on, I noticed the ratio of lobe-to-gold was inexcusable. I looked at them from many different angles, but the decision had been made: No cute skull earrings for me.
It was a sad day. I left Bloomie’s empty-handed, and replaced my cute little skulls with a bottle (or four) of wine from Wine Warehouse, which made me feel marginally better.
